With scalp micropigmentation (SMP), the depth penetration of the inks are very superficial and not as deep as the hair follicles, so the impact of SMP on a hair transplant is perfectly fine. The new follicles of hair are very deep so the pigment will not affect the hairs thickness or growth. It is generally recommend that if you are planning to get a hair transplant that you do so before receiving SMP. The final product from the transplant will help determine what areas are requiring more density.
